I seriously slacked off with updating and stuff. Yeah. Well, school’s almost over, so hopefully I can work some more C:.

Updates:

Stardust Wink ch1: Cleaning (waiting on translations from An Endless Story, but don’t worry, once we receive translations, we just have to typeset the words on C:)

And we’re probably going to pick up some Korea series. Karin has raws for Ciel: An Autumn Story, but she can’t even read Korean xD. Or japanese, for that matter. Karin also has raws for some japanese series that are in chinese. So…we’re recruiting mainly Chinese and Korean translators, but we also need Japanese translators. We are also recruiting Experienced Editors, or slightly experienced editors. Or editors that have a little confidence in their skills. We’re also looking for Quality-checkers.

Ah yes. About the donations. Shipping by amazon.jp is about $40, which is very expensive for me. Anyways, since shipping is so expensive, I’m going to wait until a few volumes (say three) of Hakushaku to Yousei comes out before buying it. I don’t have enough funds right now, anyways, so there’s going to be a little counter thingy in each update saying how much money I have to spend right now and how much more I need. Since Futari wa Pretty Anon has taken the initiative to release the rest of the existing Shugo Chara chapters, I would like to say to the rest of you to enjoy!!

If you check out Futari wa Pretty Anon’s site, you can see that they’ve released all of the chapters that currently exist for Shugo Chara. It’s good and bad!

Good: You can read six chapters for your heart’s content!!

Bad: You’ll have to wait a while for the next chapters to come out. Chapter 37 comes out February, but if that is released soon after, then you’ll have to wait a month for chapter 38 to come out =(

Gah, we were planning on releasing a batch release for Chinese New Year too…. but now that they’re all out, we’re just going to release what we have ready on that date with a one shot as well.

So, that’s it for releases as of now. Hopefully we can bring you a cute one-shot for your entertainment sometime soon, as soon as we get translations in ^^

Ok, so you guys may or not may have heard these rumors already. I’ll address these one at a time. Click on to read. I’m only doing this click to read thing, so if people don’t want to read this and get all mad, don’t. I’m trying to be nice about this.

First off, we tried getting in contact with FWPA. They deleted our comments, so we decided to skip ahead and collaborate with them without actually collaborating with them. It’s so the chapters would get out there faster. Chapter 30 was translated, cleaned, typesetted, and QCed 1 month before FWPA even released ch29, let alone announce their hiatus. And if it’s true that you’re a cleaner for FWPA, then I don’t think you should be saying this, since it’s only dirtying FWPA’s name. Let me say this again. This is a fan to fan scanlation.  According to the back of my student planner (lol) this counts as cyber bullying. That sounds lame, but it’s true. And, since Shugo Chara was our project first afterall, we should, actually, be the ones that are mad. And besides, do you have any proof that the fans turned against FWPA? I’m pretty sure, according to the FWPA site, that the hit counter on the navigation is still rapidly going up. And, if you saying things like that, it will imply that FWPA is in this scanlation process for the fame and glory, which I am absolutely sure they are not doing this for. I mean, they worked really hard on ch28 for you guys. I really think you should apologize to FWPA and Sugarpowder/angelic powder. If you guys can get english scanlations of Shugo Chara at all, you guys should be satisfied.

Before posting these kinds of things, you should really think before posting. Asking yourself things like Am I going to regret posting this later? and that sort of thing. Also, just like what Sooty said, scanlating is a purely fan to fan action. Many of the bigger shoujo groups don’t even want to scanlate Shugo Chara because it’s a licensed series by Del Rey.

Instead of coming onto mangafox and posting a complaint to us, you should’ve just emailed me something along the lines of, “Your translations need a bit of work” etc. Even Nagare-boshi and some other groups took advice from readers. Most of us are still in middle/high school, and we try our best to get these scans out. Japanese to english translators are like gold in the scanlator’s world, since we barely ever get a japanese to english translator application nowadays.

And I have newfound respect for Futari wa Pretty Anon. *bows down*

And yes, please get the name right. Otherwise I’m not going to respond to it from now on. Because it isn’t our name. (Shugo chara is a joint project between Angelic Powder and Sugar Powder. Two DIFFERENT groups.)

And I think it’s about time this topic was locked. There really isn’t much else to say. It’s kind of rude to be posting this stuff on somebody else’s site.

Well, here’s that update you’ve been long awaiting for! Rather than lecturing you guys for a full 1500 words *which I can easily do!* and posting the link aaaaaall the way at the bottom, I’ll make things easier for you! Mwah! xD

Adding on to Sooty’s posts, thank you everyone for your support! We’ve just reached the 10k hit for blog hits, and I’m grateful for everybody’s support! I hope you guys have a nice new year!

Also, we will not be picking up Mochida Aki’s newest series, since it has been canceled. We haven’t received raws for Stardust Wink from An Endless Story, so until then, we can’t do naything >^<!

As you guys all know, Futari Wa Pretty Anon has been scanlating Shugo Chara! as of chapter 29. They’ve done a nice job thinking of you fans and giving you all what you craved for… the smexy and infamous chapter 28! Most of you couldn’t be happier with the  somewhat high quality chapters and most importantly the nice, speedy chapters that they’ve released. And I bet you’ve forgotten all about us by now…. haha!

Yup. Chapter 29 was released today, but that doesn’t mean AP and us SP just sat around and waited nicely! Nope, we’re not like that! To tell the truth, our online selves have become lazy while our real life personas have become wild and hectic. I’m in high school, guys… and semester exams tend to take up all your time. No offense, but I’d rather spend my time studying, keeping my forever straight A streak instead of editing manga. Heck, I’d rather do neither and just sleep! xD And preparing for six AP courses next year? Ugh, it’s a living hell.

Well, we’re done with that now, but by that time, Futari wa Pretty Anon scanlated pretty far, and they already started on multiple chapters that we had already been preparing. So, we just let them while we instead prepared for the future. Now that Futari wa Pretty Anon has released chapter 29, they decided on a hiatus for their own reasons. Which leaves us the perfect situation to fill in the gaps so that you lovely fans out there won’t be too disappointed!

THAT is why, we will show you our apologies for taking forever (yes, we admit that we are slow online and you thought we had dropped it) and we will be releasing the rest of the chapters in existence in a nice, orderly-fashioned sequence. Happy? We’ve basically finished EVERYTHING, just to prove to you how nice and sorry we are.

We are to release chapter 30 soon. VERY soon. Take heed at how I put “very” in caps. Don’t say I didn’t warn you…!

After that, we are to praise my culture and ethnicity of Chinese (as well as most of the rest of AP and SP staff, as the figureheads from each group is Chinese) and give you guys a nice double release on Chinese New Year. And guess what? Haha, Chinese New Year this year is my birthday. Yup, the same exact date… but I won’t tell you when it is! Go do a little research and find out yourself. It’ll enlighten you with a little history of Chinese culture…

Needless to say, all of Volume 8 of Shugo Chara will be released. ALL. Lyrika has posted those scans up, but unfortunately, magazine scans for what we don’t have from volume 8  aren’t available to us because we need permission to use them, as they aren’t from Lyrika. So, if anyone has extremely high quality scans of chapters 35 and 36, please scan/send us the pictures. If you didn’t know, magazine scans produce worse quality scans than volume scans do, which is why we’ll need the original scans to be in very high pixel scan sizes to make the end result scans better quality. Karin and I are buying the next Nakayoshi issue, which includes chapter 37.

So, guys, you happy? We’ll be putting up our release very shortly, so take a nap, eat some food, watch a movie, and then our release shall be out and ready for download.
